To use this most effectively with homeschooling, we recommend a lesson a day, 5 days a week beginning at age 12, starting with the Pre-Requisite courses.

After the Pre-Requisite courses you are free to choose whatever interests you. For a degree the student should write papers to prove they have learned what is being taught and how it applies to life. The more they write the greater the degree.

What is the best way to organize how many lessons per day, etc.?

Each lesson is about 20 minutes. So it depends on the student and how motivated and engaged they are. Taking notes would help with engagement and retention of the material. You could incentivize the students with more reward for quality notes taken vs auditing the lessons - same as in any college. Also, you are probably working with a limited window of time. So take that number of school days (75 per semester) you have and divide it by the number of lessons in the Pre-Requisite (147) and Systematic Theology (232) subjects (a total of 379) and they could get done the essentials in a year at 2 lessons per day for 2 semesters and a 15 day summer school session. After that they can continue, choosing which ever subjects interest them. If they hold down a part-time or low stress full-time job after that first year, they can build up a nice nest egg to capitalize their marriage. Which beats starting life with a load of debt.

Lesson Duration and Engagement

  • Each lesson is approximately 20 minutes long
  • Student motivation and engagement play a significant role in learning
  • Taking notes can enhance engagement and retention of material
  • Incentivizing quality notes with rewards can encourage active learning

Time Management and Course Completion

  • With a limited window of time (75 school days per semester), prioritize efficiently
  • The essentials lesson count is: 147 Pre-Requisite + 232 Systematic Theology = 379 Total
  • Divide the total number of lessons by the available school days to determine the daily lesson load
  • Completing 2 lessons per day for 2 semesters and a 15-day summer session means students finish the essentials within a year

Post-Graduation Plan

  • After completing the essentials, students can continue learning at their own pace, exploring subjects of interest
  • After the first year, holding a part-time or low-stress full-time job can help build a nest egg for future plans, such as marriage
  • This approach can help students avoid starting life with significant debt
